Nikhil Agarwal holds twin charge of CEO FIRST “Foundation for Innovation & Research in Science & Technology” is responsible for incubation and innovation AND CEO of C3i Hub – Cyber security and Cyber Defence of Critical Infrastructure Innovation Hub. FIRST and C3i Hub are section 8 companies promoted by IIT Kanpur.

He is the former CEO, AP Innovation Society, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The role of the innovation society is to kick start the innovation agenda and promote entrepreneurship in the sunrise state of India.

Dr. Agarwal has founded businesses and advised firms on strategic matters in last 20 years of his career. He has worked with global multinationals like Cadbury’s and Zensar (RPG Group). He has lectured at leading global universities like Virginia Tech, University of Bradford, University of Edinburgh and University of Cambridge in visiting capacity. His interviews and work has been extensively covered in international media including HBR, Forbes, CNN Money, BBC Radio, The New York Times to name a few.


He has served on many international think-tanks and hold leadership positions in global organisations. He has served as high-level-advisor to United Nations Global Alliance on ICT & Development (UNGAID) between 2008 to12; board member at World-Entrepreneurship-Forum and Open Mind Foundation respectively. He was the first Asian to be elected as Co-Chair of prestigious Internet Society Advisory Council (ISOC-AC) for 2008-10. In 2017, he was nominated as Fellow of IC2 Institute, University of Texas at Austin.


Professor Agarwal has travelled extensively around the world and worked with global institutions, corporations and multinationals. He has published over 40 research papers, conference publications and articles in top journals. He writes his column “Snake Charmer” in Times of India (TOI) and Economic Times (ET). TOI is the largest English newspaper in the world by circulation. He founded EntrepreneurCafe.org one of the world’s largest entrepreneurship networks.

His professional training includes an FPM (equivalent to PhD) in Public Policy from IIM Ahmedabad and B.Tech in ECE from CUSAT Cochin. He is also an Adjunct Faculty and a Visiting Thesis Supervisor in the Strategy

Area of the MBA program for Liverpool Business School (LBS), Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), United Kingdom and Part-time Managed Network Expert, Economics Area in Chegg, United States. He has been Founding Member and mentor to technology-based education and health start-ups like e-Vishwavidyalaya LLP and Sumaya Corp. Pvt. Ltd. He has worked as a researcher and faculty, post the doctoral degree in institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad, MITS Madanpalle, Jain University and Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) University.


His research expertise and interests lie in the field of Public Policies related to Health and Education, Sustainable Development and Business & Society studies. He has several peer reviewed publications and conference presentations. He has served as reviewer to Journal of Teacher education, International Journal of Emerging Markets, North American Case Research Association (NACRA), IIM World Management Conferences etc. Papers from his thesis titled – “Self-Initiated Teacher Innovations in Rural Government Elementary Schools: Evolution, Impact and Sustainability” has been impactful locally and has been appreciated by researchers from Norway, Sweden, British Educational Research Association (BERA) etc. when they were presented in front of them at prestigious peer-review forums like Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) and Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM)


He is also co-author of non-fiction genre on die-hard entrepreneurship – “SMALL BIG BANG”.

Rashi Mathur is media and communications professional with 9 years of experience working across digital and television platforms in India. Graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with MSc in Strategic Communications she has extensive experience in leadership, project management, performance management, building stakeholder relationships, and media relations.

Presently she is working with Trell, a unique and innovative organization in e-commerce space. There she is devising, rolling out and delivering various content and communication strategies. Prior to this she was associated with Zee Network as Special Correspondent where She contributed to news planning and coverage for key political and financial events, wrote analytical stories and blogs. Also monitored Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Outbrain to create data- driven plans to expand the reach of content which is aligned with consumer sentiments; worked to ensure the content is SEO friendly. She managed the network’s social media handles to expand the reach of content. Coordinated with reporters across bureaus to ensure the authenticity of the news stories.


Rashi played a pivotal role in the launch of Indian Express Group’s millennial-centric website Inuth.com, a video-first platform targeted towards millennials. She wrote analytical and crisp opinion pieces on various issues of national interest, human interest features and fact check stories; also anchored special video stories. Her special projects include anchoring of the Assembly elections and Budget coverage.


In her earlier days of career she got exposure to multi-dimensional task of news room and opinion desks of Network 18 Media, NDTV and INX Media.
